The story of this design

The story behind

In October in Japan, a sudden sweet scent drifts through the streets — the osmanthus (kinmokusei) is in bloom. Its tiny orange-gold flowers last only a week or two, yet they make you remember a whole autumn.

This is the first letter of “Monthly Bloom”. On the 19th of each month, Nabi paints one design made only for that month, and quietly closes it at month's end.
